The Textile Cluster, with technical support from the Swiss Import Promotion Programme (SIPPO) and in cooperation with five regional business support organizations for companies from the textile industry in the Balkans (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, North Macedonia, and Serbia), successfully organized the webinar “Sustainable Textiles: EcoDesign Regulation and the EcoDesign Readiness Assessment Tool (ERAT)”, which was held on 12 June 2026 via the Zoom platform.

The webinar provided an overview of the following topics:

• ESPR (Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation)


• DPP (Digital Product Passport)


• EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility)


• ESG Reporting (Environmental, Social, and Governance standards)

Additionally, participants received practical information on the implementation of the new tool, planned activities, and the expected outcomes of the EcoDesign project in the Balkan countries. The webinar also provided an opportunity for interactive discussion, during which participants raised questions and shared their comments and suggestions during the early stage of defining the scope and functionalities of the tool.

The event contributed to a better understanding of upcoming sustainability requirements and confirmed the importance of regional cooperation in strengthening the readiness of the textile sector for new regulatory challenges.
