The Textile Cluster Participated in a Training for New Partners within the GREENSMARTMED Project 12.10.2026

The Textile Trade Association – Textile Cluster participated in a training session for new partners within the framework of the GREENSMARTMED – European Network for Green and Resilient Excellence for Smart SMEs in the Mediterranean project.
The training focused on the GREENSMARTMED methodology and provided an opportunity to exchange experiences, share knowledge, and discuss the practical application of the methodology across different regions, including Skopje, North Macedonia.
In the next phase, activities will focus on mapping key innovation stakeholders, identifying regional potential and strategic priorities in the textile, plastics, and agri-food sectors, exploring financial instruments to support regional innovation, and adapting the tools for assessing the sustainability capacities of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to the needs of the local context.
As a partner in the project’s transfer phase, the Textile Cluster will contribute to transferring and applying the GREENSMARTMED methodology and tools within the Macedonian textile sector. The aim is to strengthen cooperation among relevant stakeholders and support textile companies in advancing sustainable production, resource efficiency, the circular economy, and competitiveness.
Through knowledge exchange and cooperation with European and Mediterranean partners, the Textile Cluster continues to contribute to the green transition and the development of a more sustainable and resilient textile industry in North Macedonia.
The GREENSMARTMED project is co-funded by the European Union’s Interreg Euro-MED Programme under the Innovative Sustainable Economy Mission.
