Organisation of informative sessions on the use of the VERDE Bussola Handbook and VERDEINMED Knowledge Platform (A2.5) 17.06.2026

Within Activity 2.5 (“Learning interactions and evaluations to mainstream and disseminate the VERDE COMPASS”), the Textile Trade Centre (TTC) prepared the document “HANDBOOK FOR TRANSNATIONAL USE OF THE VERDE BUSSOLA”, corresponding to Deliverable D.2.5.1: “Handbook for Transnational Use of the VERDE Bussola”.
The VERDE Bussola is a consolidated framework developed within the VERDEinMED project to support the transition of the textile and clothing (T/C) sector towards circular and sustainable practices. The Bussola is designed as an integrated structure that brings together regional stakeholders, shared knowledge resources and targeted support services in order to strengthen decision-making processes, capacity building and the implementation of circular solutions.
The Bussola represents an integrated approach connecting regional evidence and stakeholder contributions with practical support and policy development processes. In this way, it serves as a framework for establishing knowledge and competence structures in the textile and clothing sector, designed to operate as a “one-stop-shop” model in each region.
The Handbook was prepared to provide a consolidated and transnational guide describing the core logic of the VERDE Bussola, the functioning of its components and the methodological steps supporting its implementation beyond the project lifetime. It aims to support the sustainability and transferability of the consolidated concept by providing structured guidance that can be applied in different territorial contexts.
In order to present the developed Handbook and promote its use, as well as to encourage the regional transition towards a circular textile sector, two informative events were organised and held on 17 June 2026 and 18 June 2026 under the title:
“Organisation of informative session on the use of the compass (A2.5)”
During both events, the content of the Handbook, its structure, methodology, key components of the VERDE Bussola framework and opportunities for application and replication in other regions were presented.
Additionally, participants were introduced to the VERDEINMED Knowledge Platform, including its functionalities, available resources, tools, good practices and project results developed within the framework of the project.
The events gathered representatives from:
companies and businesses from the textile and clothing sector;
local government representatives;
educational institutions;
universities;
the Centre for Vocational Education Development;
non-governmental organisations (NGOs).
Through these informative sessions, the Handbook for Transnational Use of the VERDE Bussola was successfully promoted, and awareness was increased among relevant stakeholders regarding the opportunities provided by the VERDE Bussola framework and the VERDEINMED Knowledge Platform in supporting the regional transition towards a more sustainable and circular textile sector.
