{"id":473,"date":"2019-09-13T14:02:40","date_gmt":"2019-09-13T13:02:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tta.org.mk\/?page_id=473"},"modified":"2024-12-17T14:26:00","modified_gmt":"2024-12-17T13:26:00","slug":"new-projects","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/tta.org.mk\/en\/new-projects\/","title":{"rendered":"New Projects"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Project: Multidisciplinary strategic partnership providing innovative SolutIons to reduce pOllutants dispersion in WATER<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/tta.org.mk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/Logo_-interreg_MISSION4WATER-pdf.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif;\">Project\u2019s description:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif;\">The MISSION4WATER project is focused on environmental protection, specifically reducing pollution through the development of innovative solutions by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the Adriatic-Ionian region, aimed at reducing the dispersion of pollutants in natural waters. One of the most significant activities of the project is to create \u201cInnovation Co-Labs\u201d through synergy between companies, research institutions, and public bodies, with the goal of implementing pilot activities to develop new forms of initiatives for raising citizen awareness and developing new solutions for water filtration and purification in order to address environmental protection and sustainable development challenges.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif;\">Specific objectives of the project<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif;\">Strengthening innovation capacities in the Adriatic \u2013 Ionian region to unlock the innovation potential of SMEs across Adriatic-Ionian region towards innovative solutions that could reduce pollutants dispersion in natural waters.\u00a0<em>Particular attention will be devoted to the issue of\u00a0<u>micro plastic<\/u>\u00a0and other pollutants originating from\u00a0<u>textiles<\/u>\u00a0and\u00a0<u>detergents<\/u>\u00a0<wbr \/>from their production to\u00a0<u>home care<\/u>\u00a0trough\u00a0<u>household appliances but also from the industry<\/u>;<\/em><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif;\">Promote and encourage the development of transnationally designed innovations (technical and non-technical innovation, including services) through pilot and joint actions contributing to face societal and environmental challenges like energy efficiency or climate change;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif;\">Promote actions and measures supporting SMEs development and modernization including intellectual property, technical and financial issues; testing solutions closer to the market, as well as the introduction of quality and sustainable requirements.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif;\">Main expected results<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif;\">MISSION4WATER STRATEGY\u00a0that will define the integrated framework endorsed by all the project partners to:<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif;\">foster innovation through collaboration;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif;\">address the challenges of\u00a0dispersion of pollutants in freshwater through the \u201cCo-innovation lab\u201d model.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif;\">The Strategy will build on the effective needs collected at the regional level with diverse stakeholders and create the blueprint to foster open innovation among actors of the quadruple helix (SMEs and clusters or representatives of SMEs, possibly large companies; universities and other research institutes; governmental authorities; civil society) in the IPA ADRION region.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif;\">MISSION4WATER CO-INNOVATION MODEL\u00a0that will be developed through the implementation of innovation use cases addressing one of the following areas related to the challenge of pollutants dispersion in water:<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif;\">Awareness and behavioural changes;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif;\">Preventing Microplastics release;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif;\">Preventing other pollutants release;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif;\">Mitigating Microplastics release;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif;\">Mitigating other pollutants release.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif;\">The outcomes of the use cases will demonstrate the validity of the proposed model. In total, at least 18 use cases will be developed thanks to the collaboration of at least 40-50 organizations.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif;\">MISSION4WATER AHEAD\u00a0that will define the business model for ensuring the sustainability of MISSION4WATER after the project completion and cooperation agreement between the partners. The project, which brings together 10 partners and 15 associated entities, is based on the promotion of the circular economy in the textile sector along its entire value chain. Framed within the <strong>Innovative Sustainable Economy Mission<\/strong> of Interreg Euro-MED, the project will seek to reduce textile waste by applying innovative tools and raising awareness among different audiences in the Mediterranean.<span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335551550&quot;:6,&quot;335551620&quot;:6,&quot;335559738&quot;:240,&quot;335559739&quot;:240,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The focus is on implementing innovative strategies to minimise textile waste, promote recycling and encourage sustainable production and consumption practices. By harnessing the combined efforts of <strong>consumers, industries and local communities<\/strong>, the aim is to transform the way textile products are produced, used and disposed of. The efforts of the project will be study the current textile value chain in order to detect critical points in industrial production techniques, consumption habits, and reuse and recycling options.<\/p>\n<p>Following the study, it will be create a tools and will be organise an events in order to promote sustainable practices and encourage community commitment to our purpose.
