Online three-day training of Project partners staff for social standards implementation held on
6/7 and 8 of June 2022 Textile Trade Association – Textile cluster (as lead partner) in partnership with two associations, Fashion Apparel Cluster from Serbia and Proeksort Association from Albania, applied for a grant funding  USAID  (EDGE) project,   thee project was positively evaluated and approved for funding.
The three main components of this one-year project are:
- Activity 1: Increased capacities to use new sales channels and expand market linkages: e-commerce, digitalization, fashion industry trends data
- Activity 2: Improved business competitiveness and sophistication in the value chains: compliance with social standards
- Activity 3: Increased visibility of regional cooperation and reduce barriers to cross-border trade (regional trade, regional cooperation for entering new markets, promotion, match making) - B2B meetings

The first activity under the project “training of Project partners staff (two staff per cluster/association) for social standards implementation was held on 6/7 and 8 of June 2022 as an exam. The first two days were training and the third day (the 8th of June) was an exam. In the training, it was talking about Socially responsible standards BSCI, SA8000, SEDEX, (SMETA). The training was held by an authorized consulting company, TUV NORD – T-CERT SISTEM. During the two days of training it was a discussion about ethical sourcing, what BSCI is, relevant documents for BSCI, then social standard SA 8000, and the difference between BSCI and SA8000. Then was also presented the SEDEX which is a global membership organization that prides itself on making it simpler, to do business that’s good for everyone. continuous improvement across their value chains. The third day was a test about the presentation and discussion in the previous two days. All participants made a test and they send the test to the company TUV NORD – T-CERT SISTEM.
