Organized online training for the implementation of social standards in companies

Skopje, October 29, 2020, an online training was held organized by the Textile Cluster within the USAID Business Eco System project. One of the activities of the project is the introduction of social standards in companies in order to ensure social compliance in accordance with the requirements of foreign buyers but also as a prerequisite for increasing the competitiveness and attractiveness of the sector.

In addition to the main part of the training related to social responsibility management which were realized in cooperation with an expert and trainer from the company TUV NORD from Macedonia, one of the leading certification houses in Europe and beyond, participated in the project manager for social responsibility in HESSNATUR from Germany which provided a practical overview of the benefits, challenges and opportunities of social standards in the supply chain in the textile industry.

At the same time, the consulting firm Trajkovski and partners presented general guidelines for companies for the management of occupational safety in terms of KOVID-19 developed at the British Standard Institute (BSI). The Ministry of Economy also announced the funds used from the program to support companies that have conducted a social audit and will present plans for the next call.
