CALL FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST – TAS BENEFICIARIES

The VERDEinMED project launches this Call for Applications to select businesses that wish to receive specialized technical assistance in sustainability and circular economy for the textile sector. The selected companies will benefit from consulting, coaching, training, and mentoring services provided by local mentors.



1. Purpose of the VERDEinMED Project


VERDEinMED is an EU-funded initiative under the Interreg Euro-MED programme, aiming to foster sustainability in the textile sector by:




  • Minimizing textile waste

  • Encouraging sustainable production and consumption

  • Supporting circular economy strategies


2. Eligible Participants


This call is open to textile and clothing companies and organizations that wish to improve their sustainability practices and implement circular economy solutions. Eligible businesses should be willing to engage in tailored consulting, training, and mentoring programs to enhance their environmental performance and competitiveness.



3. Scope of Services


The selected companies will have access to specialized support from local mentors aimed at improving their environmental impact and operational efficiency.
The appropriate support services can be chosen from the list below, for which the project provides suitable local experts.



3.1 List of Services and Areas of Support


The services available include:




  • Private/Group Consulting – Personalized advisory services to address sustainability challenges specific to the textile industry

  • Coaching – Strategic guidance for integrating circular economy principles into business operations

  • Training – Educational programs, workshops, and capacity-building activities tailored to the needs of textile businesses

  • Mentoring – Ongoing advisory support to facilitate the adoption of best practices and innovative solutions


The areas of support include:




  • A. Support services for product sustainable innovation (ecodesign, second-life products, material innovation)

  • B. Support services for process sustainable innovation (circular innovation, material recovery, recycling, waste minimization)

  • C. Product/process sustainability certifications (LCA, EcoLabel, EPD)

  • D. New international legal and regulatory standards & labelling (GOTS, OEKO-TEX, Fair Trade)

  • E. Climate Change Services (carbon accounting, net-zero strategies, climate risk assessment)

  • F. Circular Economy Services (closed-loop systems, waste reduction, EPR systems, take-back schemes)

  • G. Certifications and Policies Services (sustainability policies, compliance, certification training)

  • H. Manufacturing Systems Optimization (lean manufacturing, energy-efficient machinery, monitoring systems)

  • I. Energy Management Services (energy audits, renewable energy integration, analytics-based optimization)

  • J. Environmental Legislation Compliance (legal audits, business compliance, trade regulations)

  • K. Sustainable Business Models Development (corporate sustainability strategies, stakeholder engagement, green innovation)


3.2 Financial Support


The project will not provide any direct financial support to selected companies (e.g., in form of vouchers, grants, or any issuance of referenced certificates).



3.3 Timeline


Selected companies will receive technical support between September 15, 2025 – December 31, 2025.



4. Application and Terms of Procedure


To apply, companies must submit a completed and signed application form.
The form should be sent by email with the subject: “Request for technical support from VERDEinMED” to ttatextileclusterofficial@gmail.com no later than July 31, 2025.



5. Evaluation Criteria


Applicants must be Macedonian companies operating in the fashion industry: designing, garment manufacturing, finishing, collective handling and management of textile waste, recycling of textile waste, etc.
Approval will be made on a first-come, first-served basis until the allocated funds are exhausted.
Each applicant may submit one application in one or more of the specified areas.



6. Selection and Transparency


Once the applications have been submitted, the evaluation phase will begin, which will end with the identification of the companies admitted to the service.
The list of selected companies will be published on the VERDEinMED website.
The project team reserves the right to conduct audits and follow-up evaluations.

Participation in this call does not guarantee selection or assignment of tasks. All assignments will depend on the needs of the project and the specific requirements identified during the selection process.
