TTA attended (2nd Steering Committee Meeting) of the VERDEinMED project 17/18 of September
TTA-Textile cluster on 17 and 18 September 2024 in Vila Nova de Famalicão Portugal, attended the second in-person consortium meeting (2nd Steering Committee Meeting) of the VERDEinMED project.
Our partner CITEVE - Centro Tecnológico Têxtil e Vestuário hosted the event, and all project partners attended. During the meeting, the review of the first six months of work was made, in addition to promoting the strengthening of the relations between the consortium members.
The first day included a visit to the CITEVE facility, where participants had the opportunity to learn about the latest developments in recycling, new materials and digital tools for the Textile and Apparel Industry.
On the second day, the partners visited SASIA, where the mechanical recycling business model was presented, highlighting itself as an example of best practices in the field of sustainability.
The VERDEinMED project aims to boost the transition to a circular economy in the textile sector, preventing and reducing the generation of textile waste. This initiative engages industry companies, policy makers and society, promoting more sustainable practices.
