Seminar 02 New standards for the implementation of the 17 goals for sustainable development

On 13.09.2022 to 16.09.2022, a seminar for New Standards for the implementation of the 17 goals for sustainable development was held.
The target group of this seminar were Designers and technicians from the fashion industry, professors and lecturers/ textile and clothing design department. Designers and technicians from member companies of the Textile Cluster (Textile Trade Association-Textile Cluster), designers members of the Macedonian Fashion Association- Concept Modern Cluster, professors and lecturers from the Gotse Delchev University in Shtip / Technology-Technical Faculty.
The aim of the training was to recognize the advantages of social and environmental protection as well as the economic goals of sustainable development, to identify opportunities in the area of sustainable development that arise from the textile industry, as well as to recognize entrepreneurial models in social changes. The training contained a theoretical and practical part.
The theoretical part consisted of:
- Ethics, value and social standards in the supply chain in the textile industry.
- Supply chain law in Germany/EU and its impact on clothing manufacturers and suppliers
- United Nations Sustainable Development Goals
Practical part:
- Implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals in a fictitious process of product development and production
In the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, the United Nations defines a global action plan. The basis for this is the establishment of 17 sustainable development goals with their 169 sub-goals. Politics, business and civil society are equally called upon to contribute to the achievement of the goals.
In the practical part of the seminar, the participants, divided into teams, got acquainted with the problems in the entire clothing supply chain, with innovation and integration techniques, and the end result is the modernization of the value chain in practice.
The seminar was held in English with Macedonian translation
