Seminar on basic knowledge (Sustainability and social and corporate responsibility) 05-08.04.2022

As part of the project supported by GIZ and the Hatiko company, on 04.05 - 04.08.2022, a seminar on basic knowledge on the topic "Sustainability and social and corporate responsibility" was held at Gotse Delchev University, Shtip. The present participants of the training, who were also the target group, were designers, technicians and professors from textile companies and educational institutions that are members of the Textile Cluster and the Macedonian Fashion Association - Concept Fashion Cluster. The event was held in cooperation with Gotse Delchev University in Shtip / Faculty of Technology. The aim of the seminar was to transfer basic knowledge and raise awareness in the area of ​​"Sustainability in the clothing and textile industry", and the acquired knowledge will be deepened through a workshop in practice.
In the practical part of the seminar, it was shown how clothing can be developed and produced using the principles of ecodesign, while at the same time taking into account environmental and economic aspects. During the training, various sustainable techniques in product design were examined, and these were analyzed and implemented in clothing production through small team exercises. Special focus was given to techniques and topics such as the cradle-to-cradle principle, zero waste recycling, longevity, renewability, energy efficiency, low level of problematic materials and renewable raw materials.
The goal is that at the end of the workshop, the participants will be able to use the creative design methodology, alone or in a team, to practically develop products and collections from an eco-design perspective, whereby environmental aspects will increasingly be taken into account.
