2nd train the trainer workshop Eco-design strategies under VERDEinMED project

Under the activity Activity 1.3: Thematic workshops – train the trainer TTA-TC staff attended the second training conducted on 8th of July on the subject: Eco-design strategies. This workshop covered the innovative design approaches and strategies to minimize environmental impact and promote sustainability throughout the product lifecycle. The content of the training was as following: Introduction to eco design principles: Cradle-to-cradle design, biomimicry, and circular economy concepts; Sustainable material selection: Evaluation criteria, renewable resources, and biodegradable alternatives;  Design for durability and longevity: Strategies to extend product lifespan and reduce waste generation; Eco-friendly manufacturing processes: Energy efficiency, water conservation, and pollution prevention measures; Life cycle assessment (LCA) and eco-labelling: Tools for assessing environmental impact and communicating sustainability credentials. TTA-TC staff will share its knowledge from the above training sessions with its members (share training materials) and also will use this knowledge to present on the workshops or national info days that will follow.
